Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
You can always book an appointment by clicking on the “Schedule Appointment” button at the top right of the menu bar
There are several ways you can choose which doctor you would like to see.
By Condition
Click on the “Meet the Doctors” link by going under the “About” tab. From this page you get an overview of which conditions each doctor specializes in.
By Availability
If you are looking to be seen for general wellness or a very common condition and you just want the soonest availability, you can simply click “Schedule Your Appointment” at the top menu bar. From there, make sure that ‘view all’ is still selected and then pick the service that applies to you whether you are new or established. Once on the next page you can pick any day and time that works for you.
In order to have your current prescriptions refilled, you’ll need to schedule a First Time Visit to become an established patient. After that, you can request prescriptions directly with your provider at any time through the patient portal.
Medications can be prescribed for patients located where their doctor is licensed. Currently we have NDs licensed in Arizona and Oregon.
We provide a different kind of service for clients who reside outside of Arizona and Oregon. If you live outside these states, our NDs can provide health and lifestyle coaching. This is often in the form of personalized diet and lifestyle education. Specialty labs (such as food intolerance, micronutrient, and environmental toxin panels) can often be ordered in these cases, but routine labs and care must be done through your local primary care doctor. Due to laws and regulations, if you are outside of Arizona and Oregon, information given to you by your ND should not be considered medical advice and is only educational in nature.
Your provider on ND On Demand can provide primary virtual care. Because performing a physical exam over a video call is limited, your annual complete physical exams would need to be performed by an in-person provider. Your ND can make this referral for you so that you can receive comprehensive care. For everything else, such as routine screenings for labs and imaging, your ND can provide all of that for you.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic doctors are educated and trained in accredited naturopathic medical colleges. They diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illness to restore and establish optimal health by supporting the person’s inherent self-healing process. Rather than just suppressing symptoms, naturopathic doctors work to identify underlying causes of illness, and develop personalized treatment plans to address them. Their Therapeutic Order™, identifies the natural order in which all therapies should be applied to provide the greatest benefit with the least potential for damage.
We could write all the reasons that naturopathic medicine is safe and effective in this little box, but our friends over at the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians have created an exquisite guide on everything naturopathic. Click here for answers to all naturopathic related questions.
Services
At this time we don’t accept insurance, but after your visit we can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.
Yes! We accept payments from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). To do this, you would just use your HSA/FSA debit card just as you would with any other payment card.
We believe that naturopathic care should be available to all. If you’d like to receive services but need financial assistance, we offer sliding-scale and payment plans. For assistance, please reach out to us by email at contact@ndondemand.com or use the chat function in your browser.
